Dashboards
A Dashboard is a single page of information. There is no navigation, no workflow, no document generation. It's simply a display of data. Dashboards are designed to act as home pages or pages where users can easily access and see data in Infiniti. These can be designed and limited to specific Infiniti Users or Groups.
Buttons are a question type unique to Dashboards. Buttons are able to function in different ways when interacted with such as acting as a toggle button, project navigation or opening up a new URL. They range from a small to a large box where a color, title, badge, and an icon can be assigned to the button to make it stand out and look unique.

A number of question types don't appear in a Dashboard. The question types that don't appear are those related to Project Generation (eg Chart, Barcode), or relating to the capture of complicated information (eg Ink, Rich Text).
Data, Labels, and Buttons are likely to be the most frequently used question type on a dashboard. Other supporting inputs are included. For example, Variables or Text Fields are likely to be used as filters to data sources.
Additional Data Objects have been added inside the Infiniti Data Source. Using a Data grid display type, the rows are also able to perform specific operations such as opening projects, unlocking or deleting tasks and other function a user can use on the Produce homepage. This allows Dashboards to replicate and enhance the standard product page. For more information about data grid functionality click here.
Below are examples of these Data Objects and how they can be used:
User Available Forms | all forms accessible by this user including last launched date - replicates Produce "Begin a New Form" |
User Assigned Tasks | all in progress forms for this user and any saved answer forms for this user as well as any group tasks locked to the user - replicates Produce "Forms Assigned to Me" |
User Group Tasks | all in progress forms for this user's group - replicates Produce "Forms Assigned to my Groups" User Assigned and Group Tasks - all in progress forms for this user and this user's groups and any saved answer forms for this user - replicates Produce "Forms Assigned to Me" and "Forms Assigned to my Groups" combined |
User Form Activity | all form activity relevant to this user (assigned to the user, assigned by the user or locked by the user) - replicates Produce "Form Activity" |
User Documents | all documents created by this user - replicates Produce "Documents" |
User Answer Files | all answer files created by this user - replicates Produce "Answer Files" |
For more information about the Infiniti data objects see Create a data object.
When publishing a Dashboard, there are a lot less publish options. This because most of the publish options relate to document generation. To Publish a Dashboard as a home page, select the ‘Set as Home Page’ option in Publish Options. If a user has access to more than one Home Page Project, the first homepage project to display in the project list will be used as the homepage.
Note:
Dashboards are also available in Infiniti Go however the Data Grid display type is currently unavailable.
The following features are ready on mobile devices:
- If dashboard is set to home page, the dashboard form will load instead of the default mobile home page
⋅⋅ When a form is submitted, the home link connects to the dashboard set to be the homepage
⋅⋅ On redirect to home for a form after submitting it will link to the dashboard set to be the homepage
⋅⋅ If exiting an uncompleted form to the home page it will link to the dashboard set to be the homepage
⋅⋅ Opening a form from the dashboard and using the back button on Android will return to the dashboard set to be the homepage
2.Two new items have been added to the fly-out menu if a dashboard is set to the home page - Logout and System - if you need to manually synchronize from a dashboard home page go into System and choose the Synchronise Data option. If the default home page is in use, these options won't appear as they are not needed.
3.On the default mobile home page, Settings has been replaced with System (same page but a better description of what is inside it) and moved to the bottom of the menu with Log Out.
4.LOG OUT on the System page and in other locations has been changed to Log Out
5.If a dashboard is set or removed as homepage, you will need to synchronize the mobile device for the change to take effect.
6.If you re-open the app and are already logged in when an auto-sync occurs the home page may then switch if the dashboard settings have been changed between instances of use of the app.
