Change default Word template name

To change the file name please perform the following actions;

Depending on the version of SmartIQ you have, this steps may differ marginally, however it is fairly similar approach throughout each version;

  1. Within Design; click the Document you want to edit in the question set.

There are two main properties in this screen, the 'Template Label' and the 'File Name':

a. The 'Template label' is your Default file name; and
b. The 'File Name' is your dynamic file name that will be used when the template is generated.
  1. From the Word Template 'Properties' pop up, you can now change the File Name.

Note:

The file name can include referencing to a question type

Merging Word Documents

SmartIQ provides the option of inserting content from a separate document by using placeholders to insert the contents in the specified place of the first document.

Document Style

Ensure that the style lists completely match in both documents to ensure that the inserted content show properly.

Placeholders

HTML-formatted content can only be inserted using a placeholder from a Rich Text question type, the use of a label or standard text box will cause the HTML tags to be displayed as inserted content.
